1. Close the Energy Leak
The gap between the artificial mask you show your team and the genuine reality you feel inside is where your leadership energy leaks. Masks create incongruence, and your team's nervous system will subconsciously brace against it. When you drop the mask, your team exhales.
2. The One-Minute Reset
Before you walk into your next board meeting or high-stakes conversation, take 60 seconds to regulate. 1. Feel your feet on the floor. 2. Slow your breath. 3. Ask yourself: "What state am I bringing into this room?" Because whatever state you carry, your team will amplify.
3. Alignment Before Strategy
True capacity isn't the reward for hitting your 3-year goal; it is the prerequisite. You must hold the internal capacity first, so your business and your team have the space to grow into it.
4. The Sacred Pause
This is one of my personal favorite tools. Before your next phone call, team meeting, or big decision—pause. Slowly count to five or take one deep belly breath. This simple practice regulates your nervous system, anchors you in the present moment, and creates the necessary space for real clarity and inspiration to emerge.
